The crown prince of Sikkhim (Palden Thondup Namgyal, 1923-1982), his sister and their private secretary (Tshe brtan bkra shis, 1912-1972) are riding an elephant that is carrying the relics of Sariputra and Maudgalyayana when they arrive in Sarnath in October 1949.
