Please find enclosed a translation of Ajnalov's article on your First Preliminary Report. At the end of it he mentions the possibility of your uncovering the Vestibule Panel of which Muraviev has copied the image of Constantine. Judging by this copy Ainalov dates the Vestibule Panel as contemporary to the central lunette (IXth c.) or one century earlier (VIIIth c., during the iconoclastic period ?). Probably Muraviev's copy is most imperfect.
